Rachel Hiatt is a Principal Transportation Planner with SFCTA. Rachel leads transportation planning for Treasure Island, a major redeveloment area of San Francisco and a model of sustainable development and innovative transportation. To meet driving mode share maximums, Rachel’s work focuses on emerging “active” travel demand management tools such as mobility as a service, pricing and incentives, and public-private partnerships. A congestion toll, mobility pass, and autonomous shuttles are all part of the system, which includes an equity component. Rachel also leads the agency’s work on Mobility as a Service and incentives to reduce driving in other parts of San Francisco.
