International Business Development & Partnerships Lead, Climate-KIC
Neil joined Climate-KIC in August 2017 to lead the organisation’s expansion of programmes beyond Europe, focusing in particular on North America and Africa. Over the years, Neil has worked with many of the largest companies and government organisations around the world on a range of climate and economic development issues. At Climate-KIC, Neil has been leading the development of relationships with external partners based outside of Europe and has been overseeing the establishment of Climate-KIC’s presence in California through the EIT House in San Francisco.
Prior to joining Climate-KIC, Neil helped established and run a not-for-profit financing facility for sustainable infrastructure in cities in developing countries, funded by the US, UK and German Governments, as well as ran a programme to help other cities secure an investment grade credit rating with the support of the World Bank. He has also worked as a consultant for international development and climate change with the Ricardo Group, leading the development of programmes in East Africa as well as the creation of the Sustainable Cities Group. At the Centre for Tomorrow’s Company, Neil led the development strategy of the organisation and acted as an advisor to FTSE100 companies looking at issues of corporate governance and sustainability.
