Gordon Ho is a partner in the Cooley Business department, and is resident in the Palo Alto office. He acts as outside general counsel for growth-stage companies, helping founders establish and maintain a corporate and governance structure that will enable diverse financing and rapid growth throughout the life cycle of the business. Gordon counsels both private and publicly traded companies on a full range of transactions and matters, including equity and debt financings, IPOs, strategic corporate relationships and joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, executive hiring and employee incentives, and SEC and exchange reporting and compliance. Gordon counsels companies in a wide range of industries, including internet, consumer electronics, digital and social media, life sciences and healthcare, energy innovation, software, mobile, fintech and online funding. He was recognized as a Top 25 Clean Tech Lawyer in California by The Daily Journal, and selected on the AlwaysOn Power Player legal list. He serves as Chairman of the Board of Prospect Silicon Valley, and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Asia America MultiTechnology Association (AAMA), a leading Silicon Valley technology business network focused on promoting the success of U.S. and Asian technology enterprises. Gordon received his JD from the University of San Francisco and BS in Managerial Economics from the University of California, Davis.
