Advanced Engineering Operations, Ford Motor Company
Angela Harris is currently the Research and Advanced Engineering Director of Research and Advanced Engineering Operations for Ford’s Greenfield Labs, located in Palo Alto, CA. Angela also has global operational responsibilities within Ford’s Research & Advanced Engineering function.
Angela has recently held a variety of leadership roles in Ford’s Autonomous Vehicles efforts including in AV Research Business Office Operations, AV Business Integration, Business Development and AV Program Management. Angela is also a graduate of Ford’s Product Development Leadership Program, a selective program designed to grow engineering and business leaders. As a part of this program, Angela held leadership positions in Manufacturing, Vehicle Planning, F150 Vehicle Integration and User Experience Technology Integration.
Earlier in her career at Ford, Angela was a Sustainable Materials Research Engineer, where she led an effort to develop and implement bio-based plastic materials. Throughout her career, she has authored and contributed to more than 50 technical publications and presentations and her research has been featured in top national media outlets such as CNN, Forbes, USA Today, Fast Company and PBS Nova. Angela holds degrees from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor in Chemical Engineering: B.S.E ('03) and M.S.E ('08).
In her spare time, Angela enjoys gardening, hosting dinner parties, cooking recipes from her Italian heritage and spending time with her family and mini doxie, Brownie!
