Widespread adoption of electric vehicles by fleet operators across the state has the potential to reduce both greenhouse gas emissions as well as pollution, which disproportionally effects California’s most vulnerable populations. While significant technical, operational, and financial challenges abound, demonstration projects across the state are showing that this transition is feasible. This breakout will address topics such as smart charging and energy management, vehicle-grid integration, and the role of microgrids, solar generation, and battery storage.
