Asst. Director of Transportation, City of San Jose
Kevin started his career in public service with the City of San Jose in 1988 as a Journeyman Electrician working on the City’s intelligent traffic signal systems. In 2003, Kevin became the Deputy Director of Maintenance for San Jose DOT where he led over 375 people responsible for maintaining the City’s public infrastructure, including pavement, sidewalks, landscaping, sewers, traffic signals, signs, roadway markings, and streetlights. Kevin is now the Assistant Director of DOT, overseeing the planning, project delivery, operations and maintenance of the City’s transportation system. Kevin plays a direct role in Citywide efforts to implement a variety of innovative technologies, including autonomous vehicles, advanced sensors, data analytics, and roadway lighting. Kevin has a degree in business management from Saint Mary’s College.
